Slashdot

An article posted on the Slashdot blog caught my attention. It was titled RIAA Wins Worst Company in America 2007. The article states that it is ranked even lower than Halliburton...hmmm interesting. Some could argue that you couldn't get much lower than that. What I did find surprising was that among the other most hated companies Walmart was brought up. I believe that it is most likely to to the somewhat monopolistic control Walmart has taken, especially over the traditional "mom and pop" shops.

Wal-Mart has definitely been under much scrutiny over the past several years mainly due to the way management treats their employees. Female and minorities have been treated unfairly in the workplace. Also, several small towns dislike the introduction of these companies taking over and monopolizing the other companies that exist.
